Az ostort és kötelet mindig kézben tartva
– mert félő, hogy még a poros ködbe veszne­ –
vezethetővé és tisztává válik,
a hám köteléke nélkül is magától követi az embert.

恐伊纵步入埃尘
相将牧得纯和也
羁锁无拘自逐人

One does not let go of the whip or the rope,
afraid it will stray
and choose the dusty mist.
A well-tended ox becomes gentle,
